2401 State Park Road
The Paris Mtn. Trails 16K is a long and challenging course with many steep climbs and descents. The race is one of three yearly trail races hosted by the Greenville Track Club, and is also part of the Greenville Recreation District's "Dirt" race series.
"The Last in the Series of 3 GTC Trail Runs""Don't Take this Race Lightly!"
The Paris Mountain Trails 16K is the last and longest in the series of 3 trail races hosted by the Greenville Track Club in 2017. The race starts at the guardhouse at the park entrance and follows the main road for 1/2 mile before joining the trail system. The initial climb can be described as "steep and steeper". The middle part of the race consists of a winding series of up/downs with only a brief respite around the back side of North Lake. Like all the other Paris Mtn. trail races, the finish is all downhill but strewn with rocks and roots to spoil your day, so pick up those feet!
The Paris Mtn Trail 16K is a trail run in unspoiled forest of the State Park. Here are some special qualities of the race:
- Exhilarating and challenging course
- Beautiful scenery and fresh air
- No frills, low cost event
- Souvenir 16K patch for award winners
